The Opportunity

Due to a phase of rapid growth we’re looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR)  to join us to help generate leads and solicit new potential customers, to determine if they’re a good fit, and connect with the right people at Kynetix.

An SDR is the first personal touchpoint in our sales cycle. It is a pure ‘business development’ role focusing on identifying, approaching, and engaging potential new customers through strategic ‘gold calling’, email outreach, video prospecting and targeted insight-based campaigns.

Ultimately, you ‘ll boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth.

This role might be the perfect introduction to your tech sales career, where training and deep support on best practice skills, theories, strategies and approaches will provide the basis of a future-proofed selling skill set.

About You

You’ll most likely be someone who has experience in developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas.

You’ll be motivated and results-driven, ready for a challenge and enjoy working as part of a diverse team.

Responsibilities

  • Generating and qualifying opportunities to deliver to the Sales team
  • Proactively contacting potential clients using the phone, emails and social media across multiple departments
  • Using social selling techniques to attract and source leads
  • Introducing our company and what we solve to potential clients
  • Identify client challenges and explore appropriate products/services
  • Set up meetings and calls between (prospective) clients and our salespeople
  • Report to the Business Development Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
  • Stay up-to-date with new products, our market and industry developments including competitors
  • Understanding our buyer personas and the needs and pain points of Kynetix’s target market
  • Writing and adapting call and email scripts to uncover new opportunities
  • Learning from our team how to present high level demos of our solution and developing the skills to lead discovery calls independently
  • Updating and keeping detailed notes in our CRM
  • Working together with our teams to establish and share successful prospecting techniques
  • Testing and using various prospecting tools and software

Skills and Experience

  • Some proven work experience in Sales or similar role, possibly in a contact centre
  • Experience in an outbound-focused BDR, SDR, Sales or a similar role for at least a year
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. HubSpot)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and conversational skills with a friendly/outgoing manner
  • Proven teamwork and collaborations skills
  • An ability to work to deadlines and with conflicting priorities
  • Exposure to financial markets including trading and/or derivatives would be a significant advantage
