The opportunity

The role of Azure Cloud Engineer is critical to the day-to-day functioning of our business.

As well as maintaining our cloud computing, the Azure Cloud Engineers also ensure we utilise the latest technology and help support a high-tech software development company.

About you

  • Are you a confident self-starter, motivated by success, earning potential and professional development?

  • Our Azure Cloud Engineer will have at least 3 years hands on experience of managing Azure cloud services, including external client tenant systems.
  • They’ll be motivated, ready for a challenge and target driven. They’ll enjoy working as part of a diverse team and celebrating the ‘wins’ together.
  • Success in this role is dependent on a sound knowledge in the management of Microsoft Azure technology, its implementation, costing and application, plus the ability to deploy and maintain applications in a client’s own Azure tenant.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage Kynetix cloud landscape and ensure it utilises the latest technology where appropriate.
  • Responsible for maintaining and policing Kynetix cloud landscape.
  • Assist with client installs and upgrades, including our out of hours support service.
  • Provide Out of Hours support.
  • Member of the InfoSec committee for ISO 27001 and cloud security team and helping keep Kynetix secure.
  • Onboard new users (Kit, software, licenses).
  • Maintain Kynetix AAD and user software licenses & access rights.
  • Provide internal IT support.

Skills and Expertise

What will be expected from you and the skills and expertise we are looking for.

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in a similar role, ideally within a software development company using Azure.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft stack.
  • Hands-on experience deploying applications to client tenants.
  • Azure knowledge & experience.
  • InfoSec experience.
  • Managing cloud-based products like Office 365 and AAD.
  • Microsoft AZ-104 certification and/or other Microsoft certification desirable.
  • Experience with SQL desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively, particularly with remote, geographically dispersed teams.
  • A self-starter with strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Well organised and able to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Exposure to financial markets including trading and/or derivatives would be a significant advantage.

  • Suitable candidates will be then invited to a face-to-face interview with Chris, Head of Technology and Andy, Head of Operations. The interview is divided into two sections. The first section helps us to understand your attitude towards your career, how you work as part of a team and gives you the opportunity to ask questions about working at Kynetix. The second part of the interview will delve into your skills and experience and we’ll ask you to do some preparation before the interview.
