The Role
Reporting directly to the directors, the Marketing Assistant will be involved in all our outbound marketing activities, including direct mail, assisting with events and shows, generating monthly newsletters, CRM database management, web site content, online advertising, developing marketing materials, producing case studies etc.
You will also assist with the research, planning and implementation of marketing campaigns for the company (direct mail, telephone, e-shot etc).
In summary, you will play an essential role in the development of marketing communications at Kynetix.
Skills you will need
- Fluent use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc
- Totally au-fait with the Internet as a business tool
- Good understanding of online advertising
- Technology literate and well informed about the IT marketplace
- Familiarity with at least one major CRM software package
- Accurate data entry skills
- An excellent speller with accurate use of grammar
- Knowledge of the finance sector would be a big plus
What we would expect you to do
- Provide operational support to the directors
- Create promotional literature e.g. product & services fact sheets
- Write content for the Monthly Newsletter targeted at our key audience
- Ensure the timely circulation of the Kynetix newsletter in HTML and text format
- Work with the project teams to identify and create new and interesting case studies
- Use personal judgement and initiative to develop new marketing programmes
- Assist in the development & maintenance of the Kynetix brand
- Manage our online advertising activities
- Optimise our web content for search
- Customer research via telephone or questionnaire
- Campaign management and analysis
- Administration & organisation of events, stands, literature and support
- Customer data capture and database management
- Manage our direct mail initiatives
- Help with advertising artwork and placements and editorials
- Assist at conferences and exhibitions
- Control the marketing budget to obtain best value
- Liaise and negotiate with 3rd party suppliers
- Ad-hoc duties as and when required by the directors

Personality
This is a role for somebody who can work under their own initiative. We are looking for somebody who can drive our marketing activities with minimal supervision. This is an exciting opportunity to develop the role and to further your career in the process.
You will be self-motivated with a positive outlook, and an obsession with high quality and accuracy. A natural forward planner who genuinely cares about the success of the company and their own performance.
You will be a creative and empathic communicator, able to see things from the target audiences’ perspective. Enthusiastic and keen for new responsibilities, but sufficiently mature to be comfortable handling department responsibilities in the absence of a director.
You will be able to get on with others and be a team-player in a growing department. The long term prospects are fantastic, you'll be working within a dynamic and forward thinking organisation who have significant growth plans.
The sort of person who will be most suitable to this role is one who will previously have worked in a similar role in a software or hi-tech company.
