i-Balancer™ from Kynetix is a enterprise scale Reconciliations Platform Framework which delivers a single global solution for capturing exchange and client account trades and positions as well as banking transactions and uses a high-performance balancing and reconciliations engine to identify imbalance and breaks rapidly.
Connectivity to a wide range of global exchanges, 3rd party brokers and the major clearing systems is provided via ‘adapters’ based on the i-Balancer Adapter Model, an extensible collection of pre-built software and configuration processes which gathers data automatically, providing a dashboard for management information.

Next generation balancing and reconciliation
Engineered as an enterprise scale reconciliations platform framework , i-Balancer™ comprises an high performance database containing every trade, positions, etc combined with a high throughput business process and messaging engine, which has built-in business process control for transferring large volumes of complex data between systems.
The core database uses a flexible data model which enables future changes to be easily accommodated. The entire platform is automated and the only manual intervention required is to capture manual adjustments (through a web page form) and to request balancing reports.
i-Balancer™ is designed to support your own balancing and reconciliation operations and to be able to provide balancing for third party clients.
With an entirely Internet-based architecture, i-Balancer™ can be positioned physically onsite or offsite enabling you to take advantage of hosting opportunities and lower management costs if required.
i-Balancer™ Framework Components
Balancing Engine
The balancing engine provides the central balancing and reconciliation functions of the platform. By matching trades and positions from multiple exchanges and clearing houses with clients’ own data and that from your own internal systems, the engine is able to quickly reconcile exchange-specific or client-specific positions and trades.
Thanks to the configurability of the system, the balancing engine works even when information from different systems uses different codes for the same item.
Data Transfer Engine
The i-Balancer Data Transfer Engine provides a platform for automating the business processes associated with balancing, including the transport and transformation of complex data sets from many sources.The Data Transfer Engine delivers a management platform for all data transfer operations including features such as transformation and conversion, rollback, audit, conditional processing and notification and alerts.
Management Portal
The management and user interface for i-Balancer™ is presented in a series of web pages which are part of the i-Balancer™ Management Portal. Through these pages, users can interact with the system and:
- Produce detailed and summary balance reports and break sheets, which can be web-based, Excel-based or printed
- Input manual adjustments to balance figures, complete with audit logging of changes
- Track progress of data imports and transfers
- Set trade match criteria as part of the balancing process
- Review any import errors or other management issues
- See an overall picture of status of any balancing operation, particularly useful for the Operations Management team
- Request notifications of exceptions and errors
A key part of the balancing process is to collect manual adjustments. Such adjustments will be captured and audited via the management portal using a series of simple web forms with built-in auditing, allowing a historic view of why entries have been added. Approvals processes can be established if required and can be incorporated into the adjustments entry process.
The Management Portal is supported on all the major Windows platforms including the newly released Windows 7.
