CorporateKynetix Executive Team
The Executive Team at Kynetix is a group of very experienced IT professionals who have each been in the industry for over 20 years.
Paul Smyth
Paul has been in the IT industry for over 25 years. He initially studied for a Marketing degree before deciding to go and work in Holland where he spent 4 years. During that time he became attracted to the rapidly growing IT industry and decided on a career change. Starting work on DEC PDPs he then migrated to the burgeoning PC software industry in the early 80’s. Since then he has headed up the software divisions in a number of businesses. He has overseen the development of numerous multi-million pound projects many of which have been rolled out globally. In the mid 90s, whilst working for MDA, Paul contributed to the first release of the Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM) one of the world’s first Agile Development methods. Following on from this input Paul subsequently became the world’s first qualified DSDM practitioner. In 1996 Paul co-founded Kynetix and has led them through the boom and bust of the dot-com era to establish them as one of the premier providers of software services using Agile Development methods.
Matt Dolton
One of the co-founders of Kynetix, Matt has been in IT since 1987, starting in customer support and end user training. Matt has been involved in Kynetix’s business development since its formation and has a wide range of practical and commercial experience in delivering projects. Prior to forming Kynetix with Paul Smyth, he worked directly with clients such as NatWest, J Sainsbury, Unisys and BP, and was instrumental in helping define the approach to software development projects, which led to him becoming the world’s second ever DSDM Certified Practitioner. Matt plays a key role as account director with major clients, acting as liaison between the client and Kynetix’s project teams. Matt has extensive experience with CRM, both as a user and as an implementation specialist. As part of his responsibility for managing client relationships, he recently became one of Kynetix’s certified Microsoft CRM Specialists.
